CS directed Board of Revenue to conduct a test for all employees

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan has directed all the Divisional Commissioners, through Board of Revenue to conduct a test of all the employees working in their jurisdictions on the revenue affairs regarding the implementation of guidelines / Standard Operating Procedures SOPs issued earlier.

In this regard the Board of Revenue Khyber Pakhtunkhwa asked all the Divisional Commissioners, through a letter to conduct a test of all the employees working on the Revenue side under their jurisdiction about the implementations and progress about the guidelines/SOPs issued by the Board of Revenue, on the directives of chief Secretary on November 10, 2017. The SOPs were aimed to streamline, simplify and reduce the time period of the issues related to the public affairs regarding the Revenue Department.

The letter further said that the Revenue staff would be tested pertaining to their reporting modes, reporting channels, reporting frequency, their supervisory role, action and general timelines with focus on the said SOP’s implementation.

It further said that the test should be conducted as early as possible and the results must be furnished to the Board of Revenue before the 2ndweek of February 2018 for onward submission to the Chief Secretary.

It merits to mention here that the Board of Revenue Govt: of KP had formulated SOPs, by the directives of Chief Secretary where in the affairs of revenue department were modified and the public complaints/matters are to be solved in easy way with a short time period.

The present exercise is meant to judge the adaptation level of the said SOPs by the field staff of the Revenue Department in the entire province.
