CTD foils terror bid, arrests three terrorists

MUZAFFARGARH: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a terror bid and arrested three alleged terrorists in a operation conducted in Muzaffargarh early Friday.

CTD officials told media that the arrested terrorists were affiliated to a banned outfit and they were trying to attack the Christian community during the Christmas festivities.

CTD also recovered hand grenades and ammunition from their possessions.

Similarly, two alleged terrorists were killed in CTD encounter in Multan.

The CTD team raided in Jalalpur Pirwala area of Multan after receiving intelligence report regarding the presence of five to six terrorists in the area, affiliated to ban TTP terrorist group.

The terrorist opened fire on the CTD team and in exchange of fire two terrorists were killed and three others managed to escape from the scene.

CTD also seized ammunition from their possession, included an automatic rifle and a pistol.
