PAKTIKA (BNA): The DACAAR is set to significantly enhance access to clean drinkable water in Paktika province, committing over $2.295 million to various projects across several districts.
The initiative aims to provide emergency assistance and improve the drinking water infrastructure in Gomal, Chahar Baran, Jani Khel, Khoshamand, Dela, Wazikha, and Shakin.
During a recent announcement, Mawlavi Abdul Khaliq Abed, the governor of Paktika, expressed appreciation to the DACAAR for its vital support. He emphasized that these projects not only address immediate water needs but also contribute significantly to the health and well-being of the local population.
Governor Abed urged other aid organizations to join in supporting the people of Paktika, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in various public benefit sectors.
The regional head of the Dakar Institute reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to assisting communities affected by natural disasters and challenging conditions.
With the successful implementation of these projects, thousands of residents in the targeted districts will gain reliable access to clean drinking water, marking a crucial step towards improving public health and community resilience.
