Dar corruption case: Accountability court to indict three co-accused on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Accountability court hearing corruption against the former finance minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of supplementary reference without any proceedings till Wednesday.

The NAB court decided to indict the three co-accused in the Dar corruption case will be indicted tomorrow on Wednesday. The three accused are identified as National Bank president Saeed Ahmad, Mansoor Raza and Naeem Mehmood. All the three accused appeared before the court however; no proceedings were held.

The three will now be indicted on Wednesday in the hearing set at 8:30am.

Former finance Ishaq Dar, a close aide of Nawaz Sharif, was indicted in October in an asset beyond declared source of income and he is accused of making assets that were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The graft case was filed against Ishaq Dar by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the light of the Supreme Court order of July 28 that disqualified Nawaz Sharif as prime minister in the Panama Papers scandal.

Dar is in London since October and has been seeking treatment of an undefined heart complication at a Harley Street hospital.
