DC vows to continue operation against quacks

KOHAT: Deputy Commissioner Kohat Khalid Ilyas has assured the local business community that the district administration would not exceed its lawful limits nor allowed others to take the law into their hands.

He declared that operation against quacks, forgery, spurious medicines, expired items, price hike and illegal encroachment would continue till its logical end under the law. He warned to destroy the expired items at the earliest as there would be no concession in this regard.

This he stated while answering the queries in an open katchery specially arranged for business community by the district administration in the city which besides District Nazim Nasim Afridi, Tehsil Nazim Malik Taimur, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Najeebullah, SP Operation Jamil Ahmad and heads of the departments, was largely attended by the presidents and representatives of the business community.

The DC himself and heads of the departments answered their questions in detail and assured to redress their grievances and reservations on priority basis.

He also asked the community to reciprocate the in larger interest of the common man and poor strata.

Khalid Ilyas maintained that the KP Government specially extended the Allopathic Medicines Ordinance 1962 to Kohat Division on experimental basis and after success it would be replicated to the entire province.

To a query, he said, how it possible to allow the medical technician to do the job of a specialist doctor independently or in absence of the doctor in a clinic. He directed the TMA not to pass a map of Plazas without parking area in future. He also asked for keeping the expired items in carton instead of showcase.
