Deadlock over police reforms in Sindh

KARACHI: The provincial government and opposition engaged in a deadlock on the matter of reforms in Sindh police.

Five days session of Sindh government and opposition resulted in a deadlock over the matter of proposed reforms in Sindh police. The opposition said there would be no compromise on authority given to police.

According to details, no output resulted after five days meeting of select committee. Opposition said they were attending the meeting regularly but no minutes were given putting a question mark on government’s will.

The opposition demanded to restore 2002 police act. Opposition leader and parliamentary leader have written letters to select committee and government in this regard.
