Death toll rises to 27, 69 injured in road accident near Chakwal

CHAKWAL: As many as 27 people were killed and 69 injured after an over speeding bus fell off a bridge in Pathankot area of Talagang on Wednesday night.

Rescue officials told media that the bus fell from a height of 150 feet in which as many as 69 people were injured in the accident and adding that the bus was carrying nearly a hundred passengers, was on its way to Lahore Raiwind from Kohat .

The deceased and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Talagang after the accident.

Earlier on 3 August 3, two schoolgirls died and seven others were injured when a school bus carrying children met with an accident on the Mianwali-Talagang road.
