Deepika Padukone is making the best use of lockdown by prepping for Shakun Batra’s film
MUMBAI: According to the recent report, DP has been reading at least a few pages of her Shakun Batra film script amid lockdown as she wants to stay in touch with her character. The report further stated that she doesn’t want to over-prepare and also doesn’t want to lose touch with her character. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress will resume the shoot post the lockdown is lifted.
In a previous interaction, Deepika was quizzed about her next project. She revealed that the film is a story about two couples. She also stated that she was looking forward to doing something in this space.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika will star in Ranveer Singh starrer ’83. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film is about the story of India’s first-ever cricket World Cup victory in 1983. Recently, it was announced that the film will hit the silver screen at Christmas. It also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Sahil Khattar, Hardy Sandhu and Saqib Saleem.
