Delimitation of constituencies: PHC directs ECP to submit reply

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Lal Jan Khattak and Justice Shakeel Ahmad directed Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to submit comments in delimitation of constituencies in Mardan, on Thursday.

The writ petition was filed by Sabaz Ali seeking original limits of constituencies approved before objection.

The counsel Babar Khan Yousafzai Advocate informed that ECP was approached by citizen Umar Farooq Hoti while delimitation of several constituencies were directed which had impact all constituencies of Mardan district.

The counsel further added that delimitation at stage has created several problems continuously while PHC has directed ECP to submit comments and adjourned next hearing till date to be fixed.
