LAHORE: More than passenger trains coming to Lahore from Karachi and Quetta were delayed for hours because of bad weather.
According to the Railways, the Karachi Express was delayed by 5 hours 40 minutes, Pak Business Express by 5 hours 30 minutes, Karakoram Express by 5 hours, Shah Hussain Express by 4 hours and Shah Farid Express by 3 hours.
Similarly, Awam Express faced a delay of 3 hours, Allama Iqbal Express 3 hours, Tezgam 2 hours Khyber Mail Express 2 hours and 20 minutes, Green Line Express 2 hours and 20 minutes, Jaffer Express 2 hours 20 minutes.
Poor visibility resulted in reviewing flight schedule and diverting landing from the Allama Iqbal International Airport Tuesday.
According to an airport official, a total of 14 flights to and from Lahore were rescheduled while Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-186 from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi-bound flight PK-263 were cancelled. Flight ER 524, coming from Karachi to Lahore, and Karachi-bound ER 525 were also cancelled. Flight operation was resumed at the airport after 13 hours due to reduction in fog.
