Departments own Rs 19854.646 outstanding dues of PESCO

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Tuesday warned defaulter federal and provincial Government departments of disconnection of electricity supply.

PESCO spokesman said in a press release issued here athat it has been decided that power supply will be disconnect to the defaulter Federal and Provincial Government if they do not pay their outstanding dues worth Rs 19854.646 millions.

PESCO has directed all defaulter government departments to pay their outstanding arrears immediately, failing which their power supply would be disconnected without any further notice.

The defaulter departments included Electricity Department AJK (Kashmir) with outstanding dues of Rs18725.462 million, FATA Development Corporation Rs 315.062, SAFRON Rs 67.656, Frontier Constabulary Rs 31.874, Commissioner Afghan  Refugees Rs 6.775,  Chief Engineer Water North Rs 4.865, National Highway Authority Rs 4.723, Pakistan Post Office Rs 3.905, TMA Town-1 Peshawar (Tube Well) Rs 61.639, Police Department Rs 42.262, Deputy District Officer WS&S Haripur Rs 36.926 and TMA Town-1 Peshawar(Street Lights) Rs 20.091.

Meanwhile, PESCO Sikandar Pura sub division teams checked several premises in the areas of Lahori Gate and other areas nabbed 8 tampered meter involved in power pilferage.

Similarly FIR had been lodged against a person Akhtar Hussain r/o Mohallah Shah Masoom for beating PESCO Line Man Bashir while he was removing a direct connection. The accused has been arrested and lockup.

Furthremore PESCO Tuesday notified power suspension from various grid stations due to unavoidable maintenance work.

Power supply from 132 Jamrud  Grid Station would remain suspended on February 23 from  9AM to 3PM, resultantly consumers of 11 KV Kidney Center feeder will face inconvenience.

Power supply from 132 Shahi Bagh  Grid Station on would remain suspended on February 21 from 9AM to 1PM, resultantly consumers of 11 KV Daudzai-1,Haryana, Haryana, Naguman, Delazak, Sarbil and Pura, Khazana-2, KSM, Haryana-1, Eid Ghah, Charsadda Road, Latifabad, Faqirabad, Nishat-2, Faqirabad, Naguman Industrial feeders will face inconvenience.

The electricity supply from 132 Peshawar Cantt  Grid Station would remain off on February 22,23 from  9AM to 1PM, resultantly consumers of 11 KV sadder road and mall road feeders will face inconvenience.

Power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Mardan Grid Station on February 23 from  9AM to 3PM, resultantly consumers of 11 KV Charsada,City-1,PRC,Nishat and GujarGarhi Old  feeders will face inconvenience.
