Deputy PM Mullah Baradar engages with Iranian investors over key development projects

KABUL (BNA): Several Iranian investors, during a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, expressed their readiness to invest in seven key infrastructural and developmental sectors.

According to information from the Office of the Deputy PM, these investors met on Monday with Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, to convey their interest in investing in Afghanistan’s iron ore mines, solar power generation, highway and railway network development, establishing standard industrial factories, and creating a special industrial zone between the two countries.

They noted that Afghanistan has become a suitable country for investment and expressed their willingness to invest in the mentioned sectors, share their experiences, and provide training opportunities in Iran to enhance the capacities of Afghans.

For his part, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund welcomed the Iranian investors’ interest in various sectors and committed to providing full support from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister also assured the investors of cooperation from the relevant ministries and agencies.
