Deserving families to receive financial assistance through Ramadan package: CM Punjab

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has given the approval for providing direct financial assistance to deserving families through Ramadan Relief Package.

According to details, a meeting chaired by CM Punjab reviewed steps taken to provide relief to the public through Ramadan package. Senior provincial ministers Abdul Aleem Khan, Raja Basharat, Hashim Jawan Bakht as well as Chief Secretary, Senior member Board of Revenue, CM’s Principal Secretary, Treasury Secretary and other officials attended the meeting.

Usman Buzdar said that deserving families will receive financial assistance through the Ramadan package. He directed officials to quickly formulate the framework for providing the assistance saying that the government wants to help the public as much as it can.

The CM directed officials to take effective measures to stabilize prices of essential commodities, saying that in view of the Corona epidemic, we have to work in a dynamic and proactive way to provide real relief to the public.

He said that any form of self created inflation will not be allowed in Ramadan and all administrative powers should be used to provide goods to the public at the prescribed fixed rates.
