PESHAWAR: On the directive of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director General PDMA and Director General Rescue 1122 on Tuesday visited the incident site of Mohmand’s marble mine to monitor and review the rescue operation.
On the occasion they said that special teams from Peshawar and Charsadda have been dispatched to the incident site to provide assistance in the rescue activities.
DG Rescue 1122 said that 31 people retrieved from the debris out of which 22 were died and nine wounded.
“The wounded people have been shifted to nearby hospitals after providing first aid”. Dr. Khateer added.
DG Rescue 1122 said that there were three landslides during the search operation for missing persons but the personnel remained safe adding that 1122 personnel have been present in Mohmand district from the day first and participating in the rescue activities.
He further added that nine ambulances, two rescue vehicles, two recovery vehicles and more than 100 rescue personnel are participating in the search and rescue operation.
