TIMERGARA: The Lower Dir chairman district development advisory committee Saeed Gul and MPA Izaz ul Mulk Afkari on Saturday visited the DHQ hospital Timergara. The Jamaat-i-Islami Timergara emir Malik Sher Bahadar and Hajiabad emir Shafiullah were also present.

The visiting team checked different units of the hospital and expressed satisfaction on cleanliness and staff presence. The DDAC chairman while talking to local journalists on the occasion said that patients from Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Chitral and Bajaur Agency had been visiting this hospital.

He said that it was the biggest health facility in the area. He directed the hospital administration to improve staff service delivery and ensure doctors’ presence at emergency and operation theatres. He said the government had given the hospital the status of category A and he would try his best to get approval of extra funds for the hospital.

Gas Load shedding: The gas consumers in Lower Dir on Saturday complained that they faced shortage of gas and low gas pressure due to frequent load shedding in this chilly winter.

In a written statement they said the residents of Timergara, Balambat and Khaima had no gas supply especially in the morning and evening times.

They said the gas consumers were being forced to buy LPG cylinders which were already short in the market. They demanded of the SNGPL general manager to take notice of the matter and ensure smooth supply of gas to consumers in Lower Dir.
