Disabled persons receive treatment at CMH, says Corps Commander

PESHAWAR: Top military officials on Sunday reiterated that they will not accept any dereliction in ensuring speedy health services to those people who suffered from landmine blasts in tribal areas.

This they said during a ceremony held at Corps Headquarter Peshawar in the honor of special persons of tribal areas under the aegis of Fata Disabled Welfare Organization. Core Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Nauman Mehmood was chief guest on the occasion. Chairman FDWO Irfanullah Jan and a number of disabled persons were also in attendance.

Inspector General Frontier Corps, North Major General Rahat Naseem, IG FC South Major General Azhar Abbasi, GOC Miram Shah Major General Shakirullah Khattak, GOC Kohat Division Major General Asad Nawaz Khan, GOC Malakand Division Major General Muhammad Ijaz Mirza and GOC Engineering Division Major General Rafiq were also present in the ceremony.

Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Nauman Mehmood who was chief guest in his address said that they will not accept any sort of delay or negligence in providing prompt treatment to land mines and explosives hit tribesmen. He informed that those are affected from landmines or explosives are provided free treatment at combined military hospital (CMH).

Hundreds of affected persons have been provided with free treatment with help of Pak Army and representatives of Fata Disabled Welfare Organization, he said and adding the same will continue in future as well. He also distributed gifts among special persons.

Talking to participants on the occasion, special persons from merged districts lauded the steps and efforts carried out by military officials for their welfare and betterment. They were of the view that there is need of instant steps so that the areas be cleared of landmines.

Irfanullah Jan also hailed the military officials for assisting affected persons and providing them treatment at CMH.
