District police chief held for providing weapons to Taliban

KANDAHAR:  District Police Chief of Takhta Pul of Kandahar province, was arrested over the charges of providing weapons to Taliban groups.

Wali Muhammad Askar, In-charges of Kandahar crimes branch told local media persons said that Takhta Pul police chief, Nazir Rasooli was arrested after he was guilty in providing weapons and thousands of rounds to Taliban and adding that the matter is currently under investigation.
