District Police Chief killed in clash with Taliban

KABUL: The district chief of Police was killed in a clash with Taliban fighters on Sunday night in Aab Kamari district in Badghis province.

Provincial police chief, Abdul Rauf Taj on monday confirmed that the district police identified Abdul Rasool and another policeman were killed when the Taliban fighters attacked the police post as Abdul Rasool was on his way to support police force.

He added that two policemen were injured in the same incident.  

He did not provide further details and the Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
