Distt govts to get next installments soon: Minister

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said advocate Wednesday said that all those districts, which had utilized 60% of development funds, will be issued next two installments.

Presiding over 9th meeting of the Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) here in the Finance Committee Room at Civil Secretariat Wednesday, he urged those district governments, which had achieved the targets to improve their performance. Besides, Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Inayatullah Khan, Secretary Finance, Shakil Qadir Khan, District Nazim, Shangla, members of the commission and district nazims, Additional Secretary Finance, Safeerullah, Deputy Secretary Hameedur Rehman, Secretary Local Council Board, Khizer Hayat and other authorities attended the meeting. The meeting discussed in detail funds provision to local governments, non-salary budget of districts, weak TMAs and evolving feasible formula for their receipts and other matters. The meeting also took some decisions and verified decisions taken during 8th meeting of the Provincial Finance Commission.
