PESHAWAR: Representatives of Youth Forum of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Doctors Association on Thursday set today’s deadline for provincial government to detain the murderer of Asma Rani who was allegedly killed for refusing marriage proposal.
However, the representatives of Youth Forum of PDA held protest demonstrations across the province against the brutal killing of 3rd year medical student and urged the KP government to instantly nab the alleged killer who is said to have fled away to Saudi Arabia.
The protests were carried out in multiple cities including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Bannu, Chakdara, DI Khan, Saidu Sharif, Abotabad and others.
Protestors carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-government and Kohat police slogans and in favor of their demands. Angry protestors castigated the police personnel for their failure to intercept the culprit who is believed to have run away to Saudi Arabia.
Lashing out at PTI government for negligence, speakers who spoke on the occasion warned it to arrest the culprit otherwise they would close down all hospitals along with medical colleges across the province. Amid uncertain situation in KP, they demanded of the provincial government to take solid steps for security of doctors.
It is worth mentioning here that few days back, an alleged person known as nephew of district president of PTI, had killed Asma Rani, a medical student for rejecting marriage proposal.
