Dollar closes at Rs160.33 in interbank trade

KARACHI: Pakistan Rupees value against US dollar depreciated on Friday as the latter’s value increased by 15 paisa in the interbank market. During trading at the interbank market, one dollar was sold at Rs160 and 40 paisa.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), at the close of the session, dollar’s rate reached Rs160 and 33 paisa with an increase of 15 paisa.

However, Euro’s value dropped by 14 paisa on Friday to reach Rs194.8. On the other hand, the rate of UK Pound increased by 9 paisas to close at Rs218.90. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar was available in the open market at Rs160.40 with an increase of 10 paisa. Euro was sold for Rs195 with an increase of 50 paisa, while the UK Pound’s sale price remained stable at Rs219.
