ABBOTTABAD: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Abbottabad Thursday started campaign against illegal shopping bags in Tehsil Abbottabad. Tehsil Muncipal Officer (TMO) Tanveer Ahmed has conducted operation against the use of illegal shopping bags and imposed heavy fines on many shop keepers and also seized the entire stock.
At the occasion while talking to the media Tanveer Ahmed said the provincial government has completely banned the sub standard and illegal shopping bags in the province and also introduced biodegradable shopping bags those are easily available in the market. Biodegradable shopping bags would help maintain ecology of the area and discourage water and environmental pollution.
