PESHAWAR: District and Session Judge (D&SJ) Peshawar Ishfaq Taj has issued first ever online Release’s warrant in criminal of inmate named Muhammad Ilyas at Peshawar central jail, on Monday.
Following release of prison, the judicial order has made history by issuing first ever release warrant.
According to details, Session Courts and Central Jail Peshawar has started online issuance of Release Warrant on trial basis from Monday.
During last meeting Criminal Justice Coordination Committee has directed to initiate online issuance of Release of Warrant to curtain corruption in the process despite using ordinary postal system.
Following release or obtaining bail, release warrant should be immediately forwarded to prison’s administration via Session Court-Central Jail fiber optic channel to ensure good governance and precious time.
It is second milestone for judiciary in provincial metropolis towards digitization after establishment of video link between Session Court and Central Jail Peshawar.
