ECP directs PTI to submit details of intra-party polls until December 27

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given deadline to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit details of its intra-party elections until December 27.

Earlier, this year Yousaf Ali, founding member of PTI filed a petition in the ECP, on alleged inconsistency in the party’s intra-party polls held earlier this year and ECP has summoned details of results, candidates, and votes from the party.

Chief Election Commissioner, Sardar Muhammad Raza remarked that the PTI had not yet submitted any details of the intra-party polls.

The petitioner’s lawyer asked the ECP to null the intra-party election held on June 12 on the ground that polling process had violated the party’s constitution.
