ECP hears PTI foreign funding case

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Tuesday heard the case related to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) alleged foreign funding.

A commission, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza, while hearing the case said that two new members will be included in the committee which was set up to probe PTI foreign funding in place of previously appointed two officers.

He said the new members will be appointed in next couple of days and the committee will start investigation from April 3. The commissioner directed both parties to appear before the committee on the same date.

Talking to journalists outside the election commission, PTI’s founding member Akbar S. Babar said that PTI Chief Imran Khan has not been appearing before the courts for the last three years. He questioned whether Imran was above the law of the land.
