ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the senate election 2018 results of all 52 seatsof general, technocrat, non-Muslim and women reserved from federal capital, Federally Administered Tribal area (FATA) and four provinces.
According to ECP, on one general seat from the federal capital, Muhammad Asad Ali Khan Junejo won the senateelection by grabbing 214 votes while two other candidates Raja Imran Ashraf and Kanwal Shauzab received 45 and 32 votes respectively.
On technocrat seat from federal capital, Mushahid Hussain Syed remained successful by receiving 223 votes against Raja Muhammad Shakil Abbasi who got 64 votes.
On general seat the number of valid votes were 291 while on technocrat seat the number of valid votes were287.
On four senate seats from FATA, the winning candidates were Shamim Afridi, Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Hidayat Ullah.
