ECP removes billboards in 2 LG election districts

PESHAWAR: Election Commission of Pakistan has removed large billboards and panaflex in Swat and Shangla districts to ensure implementation of the Code of Conduct for second phase of local bodies elections in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

According to the Provincial Election Commission, large size banners of political parties were also removed in these districts. The action was taken by district monitoring officers with the assistance of district administration.

The move was aimed to ensure implementation of ECP’s code of conduct for LG elections to be held on March 31 in 18 districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
