PARIS: The Eiffel Tower of Paris went dark on Monday night to pay tribute to the victims of Las Vegas and Marseille attacks in which 59 people were killed and hundreds were injured in it.
On Sunday, a gunman opened fire on a concert in Las Vegas in a result 59 people were killed and hundreds others injured and it was said to be the deadliest mass shooting attack in modern US history.
Similarly on Sunday, a man killed two young women with knife attack outside the main train station in the France’s second-biggest city Marseille.
The terrorist group Islamic State claimed the responsibility for the both the attack which were carried out by the soldiers of IS however did not provide any evidence to the media regarding his claim.
Paris Mayor, Anne Hidalgo told that tonight we will turn off the Eiffel Tower from midnight in homage to the victims of the attacks in Marseille and Las Vegas.
This he said while sharing his views on twitter with hashtag of “we are united”.
