Monitoring Desk

MUMBAI: Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga  hit the screens on 1 February. The film recorded a decent start at the box-office with the figures amounting to Rs 3.30 on the opening day. The collections witnessed an upward growth thanks to positive reviews from critics and a good word of mouth. The second day box-office collections of the film concluded at Rs 4.65 crore, taking the total collections of the film to Rs 7.95 crore so far.

Given the progressive content of the movie, the film is expected to perform well in urban areas with the more rural areas less likely to contribute much to the collections. With Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Anil and Sonam also were seen sharing screen space for the first time and the audience has really seem to like the camaraderie of the father and daughter.

Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, Anil Kapoor spoke about how humbled he feels after the response received from the audience for his performance in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The actor said, “I’m truly humbled that audiences and critics have enjoyed my performance and I intend to continue entertaining them for as long as I can.”
