Essarani attends Jashan-i-Baharan Event at SOS Village Jamshoro

KARACHI : Sindh Minorities Affairs Minister Giyan Chand Essarani has said that the issue of land allotment of SOS Village Jamshoro would be resolved and construction of the road leading to the institution will be started soon.
The provincial minister held out this assurance to management committee of SOS Village Jamshoro while addressing Jashan-i- Baharan event as a chief guest uest at the institution on Sunday. He added that chief minister Sindh has directed him to attend the event. The minister assured that all the issues of the institution will be resolved on priority and he would submit a written report pertaining to the issues of institution to the Chief Minister of Sindh. He remarked that Pakistan People’s Party has always supported such institutions. He added that he has been apprised that minority children were also residing in the institution. The minister said that scholarships will be given to children belonging to minorities by the Minorities Affairs Department. The Provincial Minister also offered to the SOS Village Committee to decide on the scheme for the construction of a temple or church for the minority children so that can perform their religious obligations according to their faith. He said that the scheme of temple /church would be completed in six months. Mr. Essarani also suggested to establish sos villages in other districts of Sindh as well. ‘ I felt peace of mind by coming to this institution. I have never seen such an institution in my 27 years of political journey. I should have come to this institution earlier,’ he added. He said that he feels proud that there is such an excellent institute in my home district Jamshoro.
He said that children are being imparted best education and training in the institution. ‘ I have seen more courage, talent and confidence in these children here than the children of private schools,’ he praised. He said that children are our future. Children are vulnerable segment of society , they need better guidance and training, and protection which they are getting in sos village. The provincial minister aslo acknowledged the contributions of philanthropists and saluted them for supporting the sos villages. On this occasion, the provincial minister gave Rs. 500000 for SOS Village children. The children presented wonderful performance and tableaus in the the event.
Earlier, the provincial minister visited different blocks of SOS Village, reviewed the facilities and met with the children. Chairman SOS Village Jamshoro Dost Muhammad Baloch, member SOS Village Committee Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Yaseen Marri and Madam Tehmina gave a briefing to the Provincial Minister. The provincial minister also planted a sapling in the institution.
