BRUSSELS (RIA Novosti): The EU does not have any evidence of Iran transferring ballistic missiles to Russia, a senior European source told reporters in Brussels.
“We don’t have any proof that Iran is supplying ballistic missiles to Russia,” he said.
At the same time, he pointed out that the EU has a large number of evidence of the transfer of drones by the Iranian side to Russia.
Western countries have previously claimed that Iran is allegedly supplying drones to Russia for military operations in Ukraine . Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly denied such accusations. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Tehran supplied the Russian Federation with drones, but a few months before the start of a special operation in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov , in an interview with RIA Novosti, noted that Western statements about Iran’s alleged deliveries of drones to Russia remain unsubstantiated, and Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that this topic was artificially thrown into the American media.
Information about the supply of missiles to Russia was previously called “completely false” by the Iranian Foreign Minister. The Kremlin also noted that they did not have data on Iranian weapons – the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov reported that “Russian equipment is used, with Russian names.”
