KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan held a launch event for NBP PayPak Debit Cards and Spend & Win Campaign organised in collaboration with Decagon Pakistan Pvt Ltd. (Golootlo). NBP Customers with PayPak debit cards issued by National Bank will now be able to use their cards at any of Golootlo’s 18,000 merchants and avail sizeable discounts as well as win fabulous prizes through lucky draws including cars, motorcycles, gold coins and smart phones. This offer is also valid on all NBP issued UnionPay International cards.
The launching ceremony was attended by Arif Usmani, President & CEO, NBP, Faisal Ahmed – SEVP/Group Chief, Strategy and Business Analytics Group, NBP, Najeeb Agrawalla – CEO/1 LINK, Majjid Bashir-Chairman-Decagon Pakistan Pvt Ltd, Fahad Mehmood – CEO-Decagon, Nadeem Haroon, Country Head UnionPay International among other delegates.
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Arif Usmani, President & CEO NBP stated NBP has made large strides in providing state of the art digital products for their customers and launching PayPak EMV Debit Cards would further provide customers with the Domestic Payment Scheme.
Mr. Faisal Ahmad, SEVP/Group Chief, Strategy and Business Analytics Group, NBP stated NBP Digital Banking product suit is at par with leading banks and NBP customers have state of the art convenience. He further stated that NBP will continue to empower customers for financial inclusion and had launched Internet banking, and is the first bank enabling SBP Raast Instant payment gateway. The concluded by stating NBP will continue to launch new digital products and services in 2021 including Roshan digital account, info banking services, CCDMs and increase in ATM network etc.
Majid Chairman Decogon stated Golootlo is keen in bringing massive discounts to an increasingly broader audience and to create a unified ecosystem, and extending the same with National Bank, Pakistan’s largest public sector commercial bank is a major step in that endeavour.
Mr. Najeeb Agrawalla – CEO/1 LINK stated 1LINK was delighted to be working with NBP to commercially launch PayPak EMV Debit Card. He further stated the two entities would be working close together of new initiatives for promoting financial inclusion.
NBP debit cards were the most used card on 1Link in 2020. National Bank of Pakistan has number digital services in its product boutique such as UnionPay International Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking. NBP has almost doubled the Bank’s ATM network from 700 ATMs to 1,350+ ATMs. Apart from Mobile Banking, NBP has launched Union Pay’s first Virtual Card in Pakistan for its Mobile App users, now customers can issue/add Virtual Card in their Mobile App and perform QRC Payments and NFC payments at merchants. Other features like Biometric/ Touch ID Login, Pay2CNIC Transaction, P2G Payments have been recently added in the suite.
