Everything happened according to script: Daniyal Aziz on SC’s verdict

ISLAMABAD (NNI): The Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz said on Friday that everything occurred according to the pre-written script, claiming that drama has been staged only to pretend justice by disqualifying Jahangir Tareen and saving Imran Khan.

The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan today dismissed plea to disqualify Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan while disqualified PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen for life, stating that the reply submitted by Tareen was a confession in itself, thus, he stands disqualified under Article 62 of the Constitution.

Talking to media today, the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader claimed that the statement of Imran Khan’s lawyer was published in all newspapers. “His lawyer confessed to the crime,” he added.

“The aim was to save Imran Khan and PTI by sacrificing Jahangir Tareen. This is all according to the script.”

He justified his opinion by saying that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was restricted to take any further notice of the foreign funding of PTI. He recalled the PTI Chairman’s statement of relieving his party of the debt by gambling.
