Ex-deputy Afghan Intelligence Chief appointed as Acting Interior Minister

KABUL (Khaama Press): The Former Deputy Intellligence Chief of Afghansitan Massoud Andarabi has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Interior.

Sources privy of the development confirmed that Mr. Andarabi has been appointed as Acting Minister of Interior and will assume charge of the ministry in the near future.

Mr. Andarabi assumed charge of the Afghan Intelligence after the former director of the National Directorate of Security Rahmatullah Nabeel stepped down from his position nearly three and half years ago.

He has also served as the director of operations of the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

This comes as the former Acting Minister of Interior Amrullah Saleh stepped down from his post after enrolling himself for the post of Vice President in Ashraf Ghani’s team.
