Ex federal minister Maulana Ameer Zaman dies due to corona

QUETTA: Former minister for state Maulana Ameer Zaman, who was admitted to a Quetta hospital on account of the coronavirus, died on Tuesday.

Maulana Zaman, who was also a close associate of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, will be laid to rest in his native city of Loralai.

Maulana Ameer Zaman had served as Minister for Postal Services, in Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, from June 2013 to May 2018.
