Ex-Pakistan quickie: Afghanistan a formidable side

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghanistan is a formidable side that can spring a major surprise on their day, says a former Pakistan speedster.

Shoaib Akhtar, popularly known as the Rawalpindi Express, suggested in an interview that Afghanistan should not be taken lightly.

One of the fastest bowlers in cricketing history, Akhtar commended Afghanistan’s resilience on the eve of their clash with Pakistan in the ongoing World Cup in India.

He asked Pakistan to focus an improved batting performance n the face of challenging conditions against Afghanistan.

The ex-cricketer took a swipe at Babar Azam’s captaincy, saying Pakistan had to be cautious in their approach if they wanted to avoid further embarrassment.
