Ex-personal secy of MNA Gulalai killed

LAKKI MARWAT: Noor Zaman, former personal secretary of MNA Aisha Gulalai, was gunned down over a blood feud in Tarikhel area of Tajori police station on Sunday. A police official said that Noor Zaman was in the fields near Tarikhel village when his rivals came there and opened firing on him.

“As a result he died instantly while the attackers escaped”, they maintained, saying that police registered a case against Umar Khan, Shoban, Syed Alam and Awal Khan and began investigation. The deceased Noor Zaman got fame when he leveled serious allegations of corruption and embezzlement on MNA Ms Gulalai a couple of months ago. He had alleged that the female lawmaker and her father had received kickbacks in developmental projects.

The deceased Noor Zaman had also announced provision of proofs against the female member national assembly to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission for her accountability.

The corruption allegations from deceased Noor Zaman had surfaced when Ms Gulalai had leveled serious allegations against PTI chief Imran Khan of sending her inappropriate text messages. Police said that the killers of Noor Zaman belonged to Dawerkhel tribe of Tajori town and that they had a blood feud with the deceased’s family. They said that they started efforts to bring the killers into clutches of law as soon as possible.
