Explosion derails five bogies of Jaffer express

QUETTA: At least five bogies of Jaffar Express train was derailed in a blast near Dera Murad Jamali Railway Station area of Naseerabad district on Monday, no causality was reported.

According to ASP Fehad Khosa, the blast was occurred when Jaffar Express was crossing Maal Pari Bus Stop area near DMJ Station.

As many as five bogies of train derailed and damaged 150 feet of track of railway in  explosion of improvised explosive devises (IEDs) which had been attached with track by unknown persons. No loss of life was reported.

Law enforcement agencies along with police and bomb disposal squad team reached the site and cordoned off the entire area and started investigation.

Commissioner Nasirabad division Javed Akhtar Mehmood, Deputy Commissioner Qurban Ali Magsi, Commandant Frontier Corps Colonel Waqar Chuadhry and other senior officials reached the site to review work of rescue.

However, train services were suspended from Balochistan after blast.
