ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan hearing the Islamabad sit-in case on Thursday and officials of the police, Intelligence Bureau and Inter Services Intelligence submitted their reports regarding the Faizabad sit-in.
The Deputy Attorney General submitted the reports of the intelligence agencies and adding that there were no death in the incident and 173 policemen were injured in the incident.
He informed the court that they have received unsigned documents from the Punjab government regarding the losses during the sit-in and according to it more than 146 million were lost during the protest.
According to the report, a total of 418 protesters were sent to Adiala Jail on remand, with 107 nominated in the 27 FIRs lodged against them. However, a number of protesters were released from custody as part of the agreement between the government and the protesters.
Also on Thursday, the judicial remand of 47 protesters still in jail was extended.
