Fake member of BISP arrested

KARAK: Police claimed to have arrested the ringleader and his colleague of a fraudulent group and registered FIR against them in Karak police station.

As per press release issued here on Wednesday from the office of the District Police Officer (DPO) Abdur Rasheed informed that a ringleader and his another colleague of an organized fraudulent group who used to loot the people particularly the women by exposing themselves as members of district Zakat Committee and officials of Benazir Income Support Program.

The press release claimed that the group was active in district Karak form quite some time and so far they have taken gold, cash and other valuables from the people on the pretext of enlisting their names in the Zakat and BISP.

The district police officer on repeated public complaints assigned the task to DSP headquarters Abid Khan Afiridi to trace the gang and he along with the SHO of Karak police station Sakhi Rehman traced the group on the complaints of the people. Police arrested two accused identified as Ali Khan son of Farman resident of Adezai Peshawar ringleader of the group and his accomplice Polail Khan son of Arifullah resident of Tehkal Payan Peshawar who busy in the same business and shifted them to Karak police station for further interrogations. Police registered FIR against them and started investigations. It was informed that they have admitted the crimes during interrogation and police have also recovered the gold and other valuables on their identification to return to its real owners.
