Families in Khost reconcile after 18-year dispute

KHOST (BNA): A long-standing feud between two families in the Ismail Khel and Mandozai districts of Khost province has been resolved after 18 years.

The conflict between the families of Haji Qamar Shah and Bismillah Shah was settled through mediation by local scholars, tribal elders, security officials, and provincial authorities.

Khost Police Chief Hafiz Abdul Rashid Omari congratulated the families on ending the prolonged dispute. He emphasized the responsibility of influential figures and elders in the region to work alongside the government to foster peace and brotherhood among people.

Both families expressed gratitude to the mediators for their tireless efforts and fair resolution of the conflict, bringing an end to their long-standing discord.
