Families of Pakistani students stranded in Ukraine appeal govt for help

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The parents of thousands of Pakistani students stranded in war-battered Ukraine have appealed to the government to help their children in getting them out of the battle zone, on Friday.

Thousands of Pakistani students have become unsafe in the country which is facing Russian invasion. They said they had become helpless as they were forced to stay at bus stations and shelters. They were also facing problems in getting food. They complained that the Pakistan embassy was not helping them. They appealed to the government to help them to get out of Ukraine as the situation was getting worse.

On the other hand, while talking to the 24NewsHD, the Pakistan envoy to Ukraine, asked the Pakistani pupils stranded in Kharkiv to reach Western Ukraine.

He told them to reach Ternopil and if they were unable to reach there, they should get a train and reach Loyo.

“The embassy staff has made complete arrangements for the students over there. We are continuously requesting our students to reach Western Ukraine,” envoy Noel Khokhar said.

He said the Pakistan embassy had already instructed the students to leave Ukraine a few weeks ago.

He said that the students stranded in Kharkiv could contact our focal person Mujahid Abbas after reaching Loyo or Ternipol.
