F.P. Report

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) filed a reference in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday against the former 11 members of the party and demanded to de-seat them as they are not a part of the party anymore.

As per the reports, chief of MQM-P, Farooq Sattar has filed reference against 11 former members including Asif Hasnain, Salman Mujahid Baloch, Irum Azeem Farooqi, Sheikh Abudllah, Khalid bin Wilayat, Abdul Razzaq, Irtaza Khalil, Nadeem Raazi, Arif Maseeh, Bilquis Mukhtiyar.

The MQM-P demanded from the ECP to de-seat the these lawmakers as they were elected on the ticket of MQM-P and now they left the party so they have no right to represent the people of their constituencies as they were elected on the ticket of MQM-P.

Meanwhile, the MQM-P leader also filed a reference against Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra; who recently left the party to join Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party.

The ECP summoned a response from Vohra and adjourned its next hearing until December 26.
