ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Friday has said that the opposition parties have faced once again defeat in the Parliament after the approval of Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021.

In a post on social-networking website Twitter, the minister hoped that the faces of these opposition leaders will be vanished from the Parliament after 2023 General Elections.

2023 elections will be the last one for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he added.

Earlier, Fawad Hussain said the passage of Finance (Supplementary) Bill, 2021, would not only resolve the financial difficulties faced by the country, but also help deal with the deficits.

Talking to media at Parliament House in Islamabad, he said after passage of this bill, there is no obstacle now in the way of International Monetary Fund s programme worth two billion dollars.

He said it would also make overall five to eighteen billion dollars financial lines available to Pakistan.
