Feasibility of Leh Expressway to be finalized by March: Rasheed

F.P. Report

RAWALPINDI: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad Friday said feasibility of Leh Expressway would be finalized by March this year.

Speaking on inauguration of clean and green campaign at Rawalpindi Railway Station, he said the Expressway would change the fate of the city’s residents.

He said the signal free Expressway would start from Sowan Bridge upto Peshawar Road.

He said the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif should not be afraid of his appointment as a member of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

The minister said he would play his legal and constitutional role in the committee while refraining from indulging in any controversy.

The minister said he would move the Supreme Court, after decision of Lahore High Court, challenging  the appointment of Shehbaz as PAC chairman.

“In my opinion, an ‘immoral’ person cannot be appointed chairman of the PAC that’s why I will take  the matter before the Supreme Court,” he said.
