ISLAMABAD (APP): According to the notification from Interior Ministry, Federal Government has suspended licenses for prohibited bore weapons and citizens have been facilitated to get their full-auto weapons converted in semi-automatic action till January 15 followed by verification from District Police Officer (DPO) or relevant political agent.
The notification indicates that if the citizens do not wish to get their full-autos converted into semi-automatic action then they can submit their weapons to relevant officials and get Rs 50,000 in return. However, no leverage of any kind has been given to tolerate fully-automatic weapons as it is one of the steps to reduce terrorism.
