Federal govt delegation discusses budget proposals with Sindh CM, MQM delegation

KARACHI: The federal government delegation led by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik, Minister for Power Sardar Owais Laghari and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah held meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and MQM delegation to seek proposals for next fiscal year’s federal budget.

During the meeting and relief measures for the people escpially lower class were discussed in detail.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and other minister met Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Sunday. During the meeting, proposals for next fiscal year’s federal budget and relief measures for the people came under discussion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said it is a good sign that the consultations are being made on the upcoming budget. They also discussed measures and reforms for fiscal discipline, enhancing the country’s economic and agricultural growth and providing relief to the people. Finance Minister Aurangzeb said that the country is now on the path of economic development.

Later, federal government delegation visited MQM Pakistan at Governor House in Karachi. MQM senior leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Javed Hanif, Farooq Sattar and Nasreen Jalil welcomed the delegation. During the meeting, budget proposals and other matters of mutual interests were discussed in detail.

Addressing press conference with PML-N leaders, Governor Kamran Tessori lauded armed forces for foliing Indian aggression. Tessori also praised Finance Minister M Aurangzeb who successfully held talks with IMF. He said during the meeting, budget proposals were discussed inn detail.

Addressing the press conference, PML-N leader Rana Sana said Pakistan has come out of financial crisis. He said government was trying to provide maximum relief to the mases.

MQM leader Farooq Sattar said there was need to increase base of indirect taxes in the country. He urged the government to incentivize small industries. He demanded water and other facilities in Karachi and Hyderabad.
