KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested an alleged activist of terrorist group Daesh in a raid conducted in Cantt area of Thursday.
The Counter Terrorism Department of FIA claimed the arrested alleged terrorist activist is identified as Khalil-u-Rehman and he was the main reason and involved in recruiting people for the terror group by using social media. FIA claimed that the arrested Khalil-u-Rehman was running more than 50 pages of social media sites in which he was uploading hate materials.
FIA also recovered two mobile phones, Daesh flags from the possession of the arrested terrorist and the mobile phones were sent to forensic for examination, FIA added.
Meanwhile, the suspect was presented before a magistrate at city court. FIA requested for his 14 days physical remand. The court approved his physical remand for seven days.
