Fire erupts in Abbasia forest spreading over 50 hectares in Liaquatpur

LAHORE: A fire erupted in Abbasia Forest spreading over 50 hectares in Liaquatpur Tehsil of Rahimyar Khan District, on Monday.

According to details, fire spread in Abbasia Plantation late at night. Amid shortage of fire extinguishers and rescue staff, the fire was reported to be spreading on larger scale.

Assistant Commissioner and District Forest Officer reached the site at night and order relief activities. Rescue teams said amid non availability of road network and uneven passages, they were facing problems in conducting relief activities.
