Firing by drunked man leaves one dead, three hurt

PESHAWAR: A man was killed and three others including child injured when an alleged drunk man opened fire on them, in Phandu and Inqilab roads, area of Peshawar, on Saturday.

According to details, a complainant identified as Doctor Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman Resident of Gulbahar, reported to police that he along with his wife were on the way to clinic when a man bearing a car number AXS- 126 opened fire on them without any reason in a result he recieved bullets injuries.

Another complainant namely, Shafi Ullah Resident of Chamkani told to police that an accused person, Khan Muhammad after committing crime was running away from police and opened indiscriminate firing on him and his neighboure, Shahid in result recieved sever injuries. While, Shahid breathed his last when he was shifting to hospital.

The accused also injured a child when he was trying to escape. The accused was held by local people and handed over to police.

Police official said that the accused was drunk and threatened people from early morning. The police registered cases against him and started further investigation. The police also recovered pistol and a local newspaper service card from him.
